This course focuses on bilingual and biliteracy education's theories, history, philosophy, political, and sociological aspects. It explores various bilingual program models' identification, development, implementation, and policies. Students will gain an understanding of the linguistic, cognitive, social, and cultural aspects of bilingualism. The course will also examine the research, theories, ideologies, and process of first?and second-language acquisition and the acquisition of multiple languages. (3 Credits)
